Tiffany's Exotic Pets is a hobby breeder of chinchillas and sugar gliders located in northern North Carolina. My focus in breeding is to produce healthy, quality and friendly animals for you to enjoy and add to your family - whether they be pets, or to possibly start up your own herd of quality animals. I devote my time and heart into each individual animal born at my home, as I would expect any of my customers or exotic animal lover/fanatic to do. My animals are my pride and joy and are considered my children, as I don't have children of my own. Each animal born here has a special place in my heart and is always welcome back into my home. Thank you for visiting my webpage and I hope that you enjoy your stay. Come back often for updates and specials.

I began breeding chinchillas in 2005 and have enjoyed every minute of it. It's been a learning experience that I never thought would be so addictive and a lifestyle of it's own. In late 08, I revamped my breeding herd after realizing my first breeding pairs weren't the best in quality. Now, I'm proud to say that my small breeding herd of chinchillas has improved and I own one of the best chinchilla herds in the South. I'm striving for show quality chinchillas that would make great breeding tools or for the typical pet, just with quality on the side. My chinchillas have bloodlines from top breeders / ranchers including Danko, JAGS, Ritterspach, Ryerson, Shoots and Whitewoods to name a few and also including a few hobby breeders that have done very well on the show table.
I'm a member of the Mutation Chinchilla Breeders Association (MCBA) registered under the ranch brand "MTDY" and the Vice President of the Southern Unit of the Ohio Branch of the Empress Chinchilla Breeders Cooperative (ECBC). I'm proud of the chinchillas I produce and hope that they will make enjoyable pets or breeders for my customers. If you have any concerns about my background with chinchillas or my breeding practices, please contact me and we can discuss this.
I started breeding sugar gliders in the Summer of 2008, and I'm very excited about the entire experience. I would never give up breeding my chinchillas, but I wanted to take a stab at more of the exotic side of the small animal world and after months of research, I decided I'd give it a try. So far, the babies I've produced have turned out great. I've had beautiful joeys and very happy parents, and now have customers on a waiting list for upcoming joeys. I'm proud to announce that I just added a leucistic pairing at the end of August! We should have leucistic and WF 100% leu het joeys by the first of 2010. 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation White Face Blondes were added to the herd in December. Also, I will be adding a mosaic male sugar glider from non-sterile lines to the herd in early 2010 and hope for babies by the end of that year. I'm in the process of becoming USDA certified now that I have over 3 females that will be in breeding next year and hopefully will be certified by February 2010.

My customers have ALWAYS been pleased with my small animals / exotics as pets or breeders and I hope you will be also. Check the 'Available Exotics' tab for animals available for sale and 'Supplies for Sale' for some of the supplies I carry or can custom make for small animals that you won't find in a pet store but will be perfectly safe for your exotic animals and easy to deck out the cage!
Remember - Think Before You Buy!
As with any exotic pet, research is the key. Before you decide to purchase any exotic pet, you should thoroughly investigate the animal. I have a bit of information posted on this site, but you'll need to research more before you decide on which pet to purchase and whether or not they are right for you. The Internet has a vast selection of information available, you should start there. Sign up on forums and ask owners and breeders about their experiences and opinions. Get involved with the small animal / exotic pet community. Don't believe what you hear from a pet store, and be careful about some of the information you find in pet store books. Exotic pets are a commitment, just like having children. Their food, bedding, housing, toys, vet bills, and misc. expenses can become VERY expensive and it's best if you understand what you're getting into before you commit to something you may not be able to handle. These pets require lots of attention and should not be caged all day just because of an impulse buy that wasn't thoroughly thought through. I'd hate to see these little ones end up in a shelter or rescue and I refuse to let it happen. Please research before contacting me! Check out the Information tab to read the basic information on chinchillas and sugar gliders and the FAQ for any questions that you may have. I hope that you enjoy my site and that you have learned something from the experience and will send me a comment to let me know what you think.
